Frequently asked questions

How do the sessions work?

 

Sessions last approximately 60 minutes. We aim to make the session as safe, relaxed and comfortable as possible.  Therapy with us is a collaborative process which means we try to work with you to solve your problems together.

Where are you based?

We are based in Penkridge, Staffordshire.

What is the cost?

Fees are available on request. We try to make our therapy as affordable as possible. Payments can be made by debit and credit card.

Who do you see?

We see children, young people and adults.

What are the different approaches you offer?

Everyone is different and one approach does not always fit all people with the same difficulty. Therefore sometimes therapists will integrate two or more approaches into your treatment. 

How long will I need to see a therapist?

This really does depend on the person and the difficulty and the frequency of the sessions. We aim to enable you to work through your difficulties as quickly as possible.  We review how things are going after 3 – 4 sessions.

Do you do home visits?

Yes, quoted available upon request. Skype consultations are also available.

I can’t get to the clinic for my appointment, can it be done via Skype or Telephone?

 

Yes, we try to be as flexible as possible to ensure you can be engage with the right therapist.

Is there parking?

Yes there is ample free parking

 

 

Who do I contact in an emergency?

 

If you are having suicidal thoughts that you may act on please call 999 or go to A&E. If it’s regarding an appointment and you need to contact us urgently please contact 07919 405765 or email us on Joanna@saddington-spring.co.uk

What should I do if I experience distress outside of the session?

In cases of emergency or high distress between sessions here is a list of helplines & support agencies that can help.

Can I contact my therapist out of hours?

You can email any messages to email: or call us on and we will pass on the message to your therapist.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

 

No, you can self refer.

Is my therapy confidential?

We offer the highest level of confidentiality to our clients. You can read more about our terms of confidentiality in the therapy contract.

Is it important my therapist has the same religious beliefs and cultural background as me?

This is not necessarily important as all of our therapists can work with clients of all religions and will respect your religious beliefs. Our therapists have worked with clients of all different cultures and religious beliefs so it’s likely they will have a good understanding of your religion already, if there are parts of your religion they do not have knowledge of and if it’s relevant to your work together they will of course ask you questions to ensure to get a better understanding. Some clients may prefer that their therapist has the same religious beliefs as them and we can certainly match you to a therapist of your religion.
